LTD aka Laser Target Designator is used by all countries Sniper Kits. Used to target ANY vehicles in the game, if you hear the beeping try to break contact, if you hear the constant tone, get out and as far away, or else try and get your vehicle under a bridge. In game, it has a zoom function, to help seek out those targets further away. Don't lock on and than pull up a different weapon, (unless you need to), keep the target in the LTD sights, and you have a better chance of bringing your target to DEATH. Only comes with 1 LTD in the kit, run for the ammo refill kits, but remember, it takes a short period of time to reload the LTD after a refill. Nice vid, +1 Karma for you. I always wondered what they looked like in real life.
Took me about 30 min to find this damn video on Youtube but this was the first vid I ever watched with a LTD being used.
One thing I like to do while playing is to laser a tank and get it so the "locking" bar is almost all the way filled. So in essence I "fake laser target" them. You'd be suprised how often it works. So usually I'll kill the person who jumped out, wait about 15-20 seconds then laser the tank. By that time hopefully they've respawned and noticed that their tank is still there so they jump back in and...BOOM.

I do that in a sense to scare them out and they think it's locked, kill them and than take the tank. Sometimes switch to their kit so I can change my mode in battle.

another morally-void sniper tactic lol
u can do that with the old c4, throw it on then jump in when they jump out. i never hold my nerve long enough so havent done it yet, and just try and blow em up there and then.
as an engineer if i'm close enough i will lie die down next to tank after my first rocket. sometimes they jump out in a panic and u can jump in and either kill them or both get killed in the melee.

Hehe, I fought with a tank for two minutes yesterday, he wouldn't jump out & i was an assault.. did my best at dodging & nading, i jumped on the tank and he switched to 50cal twice.. hit a few rounds on him, and he decided to drive off, i guess he had low health & he thought i was unstoppable i ran and went in an alley, he fired a shell but missed..an enemy fast mover appears, he drives towards me, jumps out, & i shoot him spec op kit, YAY, i screamed. the car was close to me, i plant two charges on it, i drive towards the tank..boom..he couldnt hit me or the car because i was in an alley behind a building this all happened on the outskirts of russianborder, i was china, they were EU |
