I found Expert Healer & Repair to be absolute bullshit. They are fucking hard to do (atleast now they are, back in 2005/6 they could be easily done as people WANTED the medals.
Oh, Expert Healer is my only glitched medal. Don't blame me, I was just fucking furious as nobody would notice me with the health injection thing. If someone did, they thought I had a pistol. I used to shoot the ground near their feet to get their attention.
Fucking hell man..Now I only heal people with mics (people who ask me to heal them) & friends. Sometimes I heal no-mics who are actually intelligent enough to notify me that they want a nice injection on the arse
I'll never get the Navy Cross & the Expert Repair medals.

Meh, the Expert Repair medal is glitched anyway (well, at least the process of repairing a vehicle). So many times I have gotten behind an MAV or an Abrams, pulled out my blowtorch, and repaired the thing at least 2/3 while a guy was inside... and no point.

I guess certain things have an effect on getting the medal: 1) You can't damage the vehicle yourself, the enemy has to do it OR your friend has to do it by hitting explosive barrels or walls, for example. I don't know about your friend damaging it on purpose with guns ( aka medal boosting) I guess I'll have to boost this one.. 2) If you were repairing the manned vehicle when the driver disembarked & new driver embarked, you will not get the point. 3) You need to fix the vehicle from a certain spot, a weakspot perhaps. 4) Some vehicles must have a certain amount of passengers/gunners to succesfully get the repair assist point 5) Sometimes when you're repairing the vehicle, your blowtorch won't reach the vehicle for a split second. Just try this as a passenger in a chopper or in a Humvee. The aiming reticule shows you're still fixing it even if the torch isn't touching the vehicle & the vehicle damage meter isn't filling up

First time I got the medal it was from a friend ramming his Humvee. 2) Yep, I know this, too. 3) Never heard of this one. Sounds kind of random, but I'll look out for those "weakspots." 4) I thought only one person needed to be in the vehicle? 5) Hmm, I can't recall off the top of my head if this ever happened to me. I usually get as close to the vehicle as I can when repairing. I'll test this out tonight.

Well, I only got an assist point when I fixed the Chinese FAV from the back, not from the side. It also had a full crew.
When I fixed the Blackhawk (I was outside, the pilot landed so I could repair the chopper, full crew) from the back, I got an assist point.
But when I fixed a friendly Chinese FAV, I didn't get assist point by fixing it from the side. It only had the driver.
Anyway, if you don't push your left analog stick towards the vehicle, Number 5 will occur. But if you're pushing too hard, Number 5 will occur. To get the point, the torch must be perfectly touching the surface of the vehicle.
Too bad you can't see the sparks or hear the sound of the torch when you're fixing a vehicle online. Why was that lovely feature removed from the online mode?
