In the USA you can walk into a store and buy a gun, after a 3-day waiting period. (background check) BUT, there is NOTHING to stop a private seller from selling his own personal guns to a private buyer. (Thats how I have to buy mine!) If you have ever heard the term "gun show" in the USA, it's like a flea market for guns, private sellers selling to private buyers, no background check or waiting periods. I got my shirt from www.purepwnage.com

I got my shirt from www.purepwnage.com thats incredible, the gun part. if we had that here, people would be slaughtering eachother coz of the road rage due to the traffic jams and the petty minded parking nazis. i lost my lexuxs key last nite and was going mental, i only have 1 and its got the immobiliser on it. to get a new key wouldve cost me £300. i mentioned it to EnemyOne and some other guy says "look in the trash can, thats where it always is". to cut a long story short, it was there. thank fuckity for that. now must get a copy made check this shit out... i thought it was an april fools when i first heard it: news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8621407.stm

Thank the founding fathers of America for the 2nd amendment! After WW1 England and several Euro countries (including Germany) outlawed private gun ownership, after all that was the war to end all wars. In the beginning of WW2 they then got on their hand and knees begging America or anyone to send weapons and ammo even if they didn’t work so that they may defend their own country. And now they’re doing the same thing? Pitiful! Why didn’t Germany invade the Switzerland?

i see your point but....
Britain and France made the mistake of not re-arming when Germany started mass-producing advanced weapons (heavy tanks, fighter planes, dive bombers, shit like that) then we cleverly left what weapons we did have on the beaches of Dunkirk.
i'm not sure that a collection of hand guns and rifles in people's houses would've stopped a heavy bomber - that would've been the RAF in the Battle of Britain.
but yes the USA did sell us lots of arms, including tanks, (which we paid for for the next 50 years, thanks for letting us off that one :-)) thanks to the size and proficiency of american mass production, but by that time the threat of German invasion was over.
and yes we were hugely reliant on the usa for food supplies to get us through.

Switzerland is like the core of European banks, and I think Switzerland has some pretty weird shit going on behind the curtains

Why didn’t Germany invade the Switzerland? "the people in arms." At one point an astonishing 20 percent of the Swiss population was under arms, a figure unheard of in a modern country officially at peace--or even most countries at war. Every Swiss home had a rifle. Sharpshooting was and is the national sport; each weekend the hills are alive with the sound of gunfire, with fathers delighting in instructing their kids in proper technique. Swiss youths were trained to shoot at 300 meters, Germans at 100. German generals had to consider the example of the Finns, another small nation of skiers and riflemen who had recently held off a Russian invasion far more tenaciously than outsiders expected. Now you know!
