you have 4 basic classes for all the teames Normal trooper. like assult but it sucks balls so nobody use it. Heavy trooper weapons personel maines granedes rocket launcher and pistol. It is used alot as it is one of the best basic units. Sniper sniper is good if you are really skilled. Engineer has shotgun and detpack which is sort of c4 it is a really good unit too.
You have veahicles like command vehicle like the gigantic walking things in star wars episode 5. And the you have heavy medum and scout vehicles.
You can play conquest and capture the flag. you can't vote so all servers follow a playlist that the host has set up.. It is really fun you should try it ;D

I'll have to look into it, cause it would fit into my FPS collection for the PS2. I'm pretty sure I saw a couple copies at Gamestop for like $15, and I think I was just waiting for it to go down to like $10.
Do you still play it online?
Does it have offline single player, and if so, whats it like?

I've been in several games where they talk up the mics to kick the no micers, and than no one says shit.... I've seen some no micers that tear shit up. I will say, a mic is important when playing with people who actually communicate. |

aaah the old kick the no micer dilemma!
my own situation is that when i play when all my friends are on, we all have mics. so we r used to playing the game on a level where people are communicating. it adds to the quality of the game.
PLUS we know enough micers to fill the game up, so the no micers clog up the game and take other players' places.
to the casual observer it looks harsh, but there are good reasons for it.
and another thing... why dont they just buy a bloody mic/?

Does it have offline single player, and if so, whats it like? I still play it on europe servers and it is pretty fun and it ha like 2 24 ppl servers and atleast one is allways full. It has a offlline sigleplayer in wich you can play yust any cnq or ctf map or you can play campaign. I really hate getting kicked for not havikng a mic.. But to get a mic in sweden you have to buy socom 3 and then it comes with the game.. So I'm trying to figure iut if socom is worth my money |

i got socom 3 on ebay just to get the mic, cost me 5 quid (ie 5 euros)
