Updated: EA: Play nicely, or don't play at all By Brian Maher, 30 October 2008 - 13:22 78 comments
In a controversial move, EA have announced that they have tied together their forum and in-game accounts, meaning that if anybody misbehaves on their forums and gets themselves banned, they'll be instantly banned from any games they have registered with the same name.
While we're all for banning nuisance members, banning people from games that they have coughed up a fair amount of money for is a bit far (especially when those richer gamers can simply repurchase the game). Therefore, unless you can afford to repurchase every game linked to your EA account - be on your best behavior at all times.
What do you think? Should EA be able to ban people from games that they've legally purchased?
Update: EA have now stated that the whole thing was a misunderstanding - and have now stated that being banned on the forum will not prevent you from playing games that you've purchased.
.... but if it's a misunderstanding, why is mayo banned?

Because of the summer '09 adventures? You know.. 'fuck EA, join our forums'
;D ;D
Anyway I just had a blast playing Call Of Duty Finest Hour, it's the first PS2 Call Of Duty & the online is legendary, you don't have to press a button to talk on the mic, 'cause teammates & enemies close to you hear you if you say anything, kinda annoying if you're talking to your bro in real life but whatever. No vehicles and the maps have a lot of alleys and places to hide.. Want health? Then you gotta kill somebody & take that shit. No regenerating health, just like in the first COD games, 1 and United Offensive for the PC.
I played with 12 people and it was fun. Too bad nobody respects the good old PS2 & original XBOX games anymore, nowadays, it's all about graphics, perks and/or experience points/ranks. People also take that shit seriously. The more the developers put achievements like ranks, XP & other shit in the game, more cheating & hacking ensue.

Serial Keys are for PC games.
Serial Keys keep people from sharing their games, because you always need a serial key to install, and the same serial key cannot be used online by two people at the same time. Also, some game makers have it so you register electronically and than the serial key is "tied" to that registration information, blacklisting anyone else from even installing the game.
This is more than likely the main reason EB Games (before GameStop) stopped selling and trading used PC games.

Sweet, then ther's still a chance that the new name and email might work I'm almost positive it will. Can you create this new ID online with the 360 and not even interact with the forums? That's how I would do it if I could.

well i got an xbox 360 coz my friend has got one and is into battlefield. just to check i was cool wiv EA he lent me his spare copy of BF BC (first one) and it let me play no probs.
dont really like the game tho, the graphics are too complicated and fussy compared to MC. i couldnt see jack shit, where the enemy was etc.
and u cant call down a map and zoom in and out.. all it gives u is a zoomed out map and the game freezes when u look at it. in a word: useless.
and when u kill someone, it doesnt say so in nice big letters like in MC. its hard to even know u got a kill.
and i got motion sickness from running around, u just seem to be bobbing around., added to the fact my eyes are straining to see wtf is going on anyway. u can only "run" by pressing down the joystick so hard your hand aches.
whoever designed that game need shooting.
*and i had the headset on the whole time and nobody said nothing, not once, never ever.

I heard that the first BC bombed big time....seems they were right. Hopefully they fixed most of that shit.
As far as the graphics go, it takes some getting used to but you will eventually figure out what the enemy looks like.
In COD the hard part was seeing an enemy at a distance, especcially if only there head is showing. Most of the time I get killed because I'll sit there and stare at em till they move but by that time the bullet is already on its way to my head. ;D
Send me a FR if you want. Same ol name Creamy Mayo

lol dude, I think I might get a 360 soon..or a PS3..damn help me choose. I could get a PS3 easily..I told you about that but 360 sounds cool too. Both have many great games. I'll see you guys on the battlefield I think 1943 is fun, I think I was being too stereotypical. I played it on my friend's 360.

i doubt youre gonna see me on any new battlefield if this motion sickness carries on!
ps3 or xbox? god knows
i played the 1943 demo and there was some lag, and other than the bobbing up and down it seemed pretty cool. i was lovong all the WW2 weapons and hardware/
i came first in one game, but i suspect i was playing other noobs in the demo mode.
